How to Get to Ios

Ios Island is situated in the heart of the Cyclades, between Santorini and Mykonos and it’s the island closest to Santorini.

Guests wishing to travel to the Greek island of Ios for their holidays have the option to fly to Santorini and then follow with a private, through LuxurIOS Island Experience, or regular boat transfer to IOS.

Alternatively one can pick one of the many ways of transportation available and prepare for a high-end island vacation in an unadulterated and pristine environment.

The Greek island of Ios can be reached by sea from the ports of Piraeus as well as from many other ports in the Greek Islands. From Athens travelers can choose amidst the regular boat for the 5-6 hour trip to Ios or high speed ferry and get to the island of Ios in approximately (3.5 hours).

Regular boats and high speeds are also available from,

• Mykonos (2 hours)
• Santorini (45 min.)
• Heraklion Crete (2.5 hours)

Ios Island doesn’t have an airport which is also why the island has avoided mass tourism and maintained its natural beauty. Travelers can fly directly from most major European capitals to Santorini, Mykonos or Heraklion Crete and then get to the island of Ios by high speed ferry.

Additionally LuxurIOS Island Experience can arrange a private boat transfer from any island of the Cyclades or helicopter transfer from anywhere in Greece.

The port of Ios Island is about 24 km away from the villa in Magganari Bay. You can get there by car (car rental ios island).

Directions from the Port of Ios to Magganari Bay. It is advisable to take the longer route.
